WHAT I BRING TO EVERY PORTRAIT SESSION (BESIDES MY CAMERA)

Over the years, I have found that it's often the smallest items that save the day during a portrait session. While cameras and lenses take center stage during a photoshoot, there are a handful of practical tools I never leave home without. They help keep sessions running smoothly and allow me to focus on what matters most, creating photographs.
Here are a few things I always keep in my camera bag when heading out for a portrait or fashion photoshoot:
Safety Pins – Since clothing doesn't always cooperate.
Small Clips – Helps adjust garments or keep fabric in place.
Tissues – Shine blotting papers and other essentials.
Gaff Tape – An absolute must in any photographer’s bag.
Portable Mirror – Perfect for quick hair and makeup touch-ups.
Hand Sanitizer – especially useful when working with multiple people.
Bobby Pins – even if you're not the hairstylist.
My portrait and fashion photography sessions aren't just about the camera. Having a few essential items in my bag allows me to feel prepared, and focused on my subject. More often than not, it's the little things that make all the difference.
